- TOP in Winchester:
One of the missions of the FUMC Youth, they cook and pack up lunches, take them to two locations in Winchester and hand them out. The locations where all the families are staying truely have struggles, just short of being homeless. The Youth also have had the opportunity to build some what of a relationship with these people. Through these relationships we have been able to see some other needs that they have and in some cases have been able to help.
- Stepping Stone ID Program:
Helping the homeless get an ID so they can obtain employment.
In addition, the youth group, UMW, UMM and various Sunday School classes support special mission projects. Each summer we send at least one mission team to serve another community which in turn blesses us . We sent a truck and served as a District collection point for hurricane relief supplies going to the MERCI Center. Many of our members are actively involved as volunteers in the above mentioned mission areas. Our Discovery Pre-School provides a safe and Christian environment for over 100, 2-5 year olds on a daily basis.
