The last is usually referred as our "APR property" where we have festivals, picnics, BBQ, or other outside events and where we are exploring the site for our next facility. New Restaurants!! Changes to Lunch and Dinner w/ the Pastor
Lunch this month will be at Ruby Tuesday, 1685 S. Pleasant Valley Road
and Dinner will be at IJ Canns, 3111 Valley Ave.

Antietam Battlefield Trip
June 7th and 8th

Come join us as we tour the battlefield of Antietam the first few days in June! We are going to meet in the Gathering Place at 7pm on June 7th for a "briefing" and pizza dinner. Followed by on June 8th, we are going to meet in the parking lot of our Downtown Campus at 9am to carpool (which will take about fifty minutes) down to Sharpsburg, MD. We will visit landmarks like the Cornfield and the Burnside Bridge. Please bring a lunch or bring some money for the local sandwich shop across the way from the Battlefield. Please bring $10 for park fees.

Christian Believer Bible and Book Study
Reverend White is leading a new study starting in May. Christian Believer guides daily reading in Scripture and weekly readings in the Class Manual. The Manual encourages daily prayer while providing space for taking notes for use in weekly group discussion.
The study will be held on two days each week:
Tuesdays, 1:30 - 3:30pm in the Chapel
Sundays, 12:30 - 2:30pm at the Parsonage

Vacation Bible School at First United Methodist
We encourage you to set aside the week of June 10th-14th for a fun filled five days of a space themed VBS. We will lift off each day and hear God’s  word, explore His beautiful creation, blast off with tons of games and crafts. So sign up and discover what God has in store for you during “Miraculous Mission”. Visit the Discovery Preschool tab on the the menu above to get the registration forms. Communications Team Help
Our Communications folks would like to train a small team to operate the Sound System and PowerPoint tools for worship services and special events. Ideally, we can establish a rotation schedule with backups as needed. Training would be provided.
Required Skills:
Desire to serve the Lord, some computer knowledge
and a willingness to learn some fun new skills

Community Garden at the APR Campus
We have a community garden which the proceeds go to the various food banks and pantries in the area! Please notify the Church Office if you want to help!

Transportation Ministry
We are looking for folks who would like to be a part of a transportation ministry. It would involve picking up riders for a Sunday School and 11:00a.m. service and taking them home after the service. The commitment would be for one Sunday every 8 weeks with the flexibility to trade with other drivers when scheduling conflicts arise. Please sign up on the Tear Sheet so that we can contact you

If you have some pairs of shoes from the past that are just gathering dust or if you are cleaning out your house. Donate those shoes for a good cause! Regardless of how old or how torn they are. If you want to know more, just visit this page.

"Electronic" Tear Sheet
There is a "new" item on our website. Under "Calendar" on the top menu, you see a page labelled "Tear Sheet", look there for sign-ups for events that are happening at our church. All the "Coffee, Lunch, and Dinner" with the Pastor events have been combined in one sign-up list. The list has been updated. Go check it out!!
