We would like to welcome Pastor Will White to First United Methodist Church to serve as our new Pastor. The following paragraph was taken from Pastor Will’s introductory letter to the Members of FUMC.
The year was 1976. Jim Boice was Pastor of First United Methodist Church and he had been chosen to lead a confirmation retreat for youth from the churches that together made up the Winchester District of the United Methodist Church. I was one of the 50 children who attended that retreat, went to classes, played games and slept in sleeping bags on the floor of First United Methodist Church. Since that time, much has occurred in my life and in the life of First United Methodist Church, yet I am once again called to be part of First United Methodist Church. I stand in awe of the way God works and feel honored to become your Pastor and return to Winchester to serve you and God!
